The Taiwan Expo in Thailand attracted NT$ 3.3 billion (US$ 110 million) worth of business opportunities. Co-hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council
(TAITRA) and its Thai counterpart, the Taiwan Expo launched for the first time in Thailand last Thursday.
During its three-day run, the expo attracted a large number of local Thai companies, which led to the signing of many contracts. Local companies bought a wide range of Taiwanese products. These include massage chairs, air conditioning compressors, beef jerky and dried fruit, and Halal-certified products.
Taiwanese business representatives said the Expo raised the profile of Taiwanese businesses and boosted Taiwan’s image on the international stage. [FULL STORY]
