Taipei, Oct. 1 (CNA) Taiwan's agricultural losses from damage wrought by Typhoon Mitag since Sept. 29 have been estimated at NT$1.88 million (US$60,485), according to preliminary statistics released Tuesday by the Council of Agriculture (COA).
Yilan County was the hardest hit of any locality in Taiwan, with losses estimated at NT$1.55 million, or about 82 percent of the total, as of Tuesday evening, the statistics showed.
That was followed by Hualien County, with losses of NT$140,000, and New Taipei, with losses of NT$110,000. [FULL STORY]
