Ferries canceled as Kong-Rey approaches Taiwan

As typhoon season progresses, yet another storm is threatening to bring strong wind and rain to Taiwan.

Tropical storm Kong-Rey formed southwest of the Western Pacific island of Guam last weekend and has strengthened into a typhoon. Kong-Rey is currently packing sustained winds of 198 kilometers per hour with gusts up to 245 kilometers per hour.
