Taipei, Nov. 14 (CNA) France’s representative office in Taiwan established an online

condolence book Saturday, through which people can express messages of sympathy for the dead in a series of terrorist attacks in Paris a day earlier that have caused at least 127 deaths.

The French Office in Taipei took advantage of Facebook to set up a page as an online condolence book to mourn the victims.

It said the page was opened as a platform for people who want to send messages to pay their respects to the dead and express sympathy to the people of France.

French President Francois Hollande said Saturday that the attacks in Paris that killed 127 people were “an act of war” organized from abroad by Islamic State with internal help, according to foreign media.

Hollande also said that he would address parliament on Nov. 16 in an extraordinary meeting and that the country would observe three days of official mourning for the victims of the attacks, according to the reports.

Taiwan’s representative office in France said the same day that there have been no reports of Taiwanese casualties in the attacks, after confirming with the French authorities.     [FULL  STORY]
