Agricultural losses from torrential rain in Taiwan over the weekend have reached an estimated NT$40 million (US$1.36 million) as of Sunday. That’s according to initial estimates released by the Council of Agriculture.

As of 11am on Sunday, the council said that agricultural losses were heaviest in Yunlin County, which recorded about 54% of the nation’s total losses.
