Taipei, July 14 (CNA) A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck northeastern Taiwan at 7:46 p.m. Saturday, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).

No damage or casualties were immediately reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located about 18.8 kilometers south of Yilan County Hall at a depth of 70.3 km, the bureau’s website showed.

The earthquake’s intensity, which gauges the actual effect of a temblor, was highest in Yilan’s Nan’ao Township, Taipei’s Xinyi District and Taoyuan and Zhongli districts in Taoyuan City, where it measured 2 on Taiwan’s 7-level intensity scale.    [FULL  STORY]
