Taipei, Dec. 19 (CNA) Taiwan could continue to see mild weather until Dec. 24, when moisture-bearing cold air might bring a cold and wet Christmas to northern Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau said Saturday.
Daytime high temperatures through Dec. 23 could reach 25 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan, and 28 degrees in central and southern parts of the country, forecasters said.
Lows could hover steadily between 17 and 20 degrees during that period islandwide, with mostly cloudy weather and occasional showers on Sunday and Monday, bureau data showed.
Much colder and wetter weather is likely from Christmas Eve, when the mercury could drop to 15 degrees in northern Taiwan, forecasters said. [FULL STORY]
