warning to Taiwanese visitors to Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup this summer, saying they should be mindful of their safety.

In a statement, MOFA’s Bureau of Consular Affairs said Taiwan’s representative office in Moscow has established an emergency aid task force to assist Taiwanese during the World Cup in Russia if they encounter any problems.

The World Cup usually attracts large crowds of passionate soccer fans from all over the world and emotions sometimes run high, the bureau said, warning Taiwanese fans to steer clear of danger.

The bureau also suggested that Taiwanese fans buy their World Cup tickets early and make accommodation reservations, after which they can apply online for a fan ID that will allow multiple entries into Russia during the World Cup.    [FULL  STORY]
