Kathmandu, May 3 (CNA) Nepali Vice President Parmanand Jha accepted an
official note verbale Sunday from the Republic of China for donating US$300,000 to aid relief efforts in the earthquake stricken country.
The note verbale was presented by James Tien (田中光), the ROC Representative to India, during a visit to Jha’s official residence in Kathmandu. Although Jha accepted the note verbale, he asked the ROC to submit the check to the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, India.
Jha added that he will forward the note verbale to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala as soon as possible. [FULL STORY]
