Taipei, Sept. 10 (CNA) The Super Lotto jackpot is expected to reach NT$2.9 billion (US$88 
million) on Sept 14 since no one has claimed the top prize of the lottery for 40 draws in a row Thursday, according to the Taiwan Lottery Co.
The top prize of NT$2.9 billion will be the second highest in the history of Supper Lotto, the lottery company said. It will also be the third time this year that the top prize has accumulated to over NT$2 billion.
The company estimated that the high jackpot will drive more people to try their luck by spending about NT$1 billion on the next Supper Lotto draw whose winning numbers will be selected next Monday. [FULL STORY]
