Premier to report to Legislature on power outage

power outage to the Legislative Yuan on Monday, Cabinet spokesman Hsu Kuo-yung (徐國勇) said Thursday.

Lin has also instructed Acting Economics Minister Shen Jong-chin (沈榮津) to visit Tatan Power Plant in Taoyuan and state-owned fuel supplier CPC Corp. to look into the incident and present a report on Friday, Hsu said.

The instruction was given during a lunch meeting between Lin and legislators from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party, according to Hsu.

At a weekly Cabinet meeting held in the morning, the premier again apologized to the public for the inconvenience caused by the outage, which affected more than 6.68 million households in 17 cities and counties across Taiwan.    [FULL  STORY]
