Taipei, Sept. 11 (CNA) An annual road race in Taipei on Sunday ended with the dethroning of the five-
year champion in the men’s 12.5-km category, Rio Olympian marathoner Ho Chin-ping (何盡平).
Ho, who was nursing an injury, clocked 41 minutes 20 seconds, finishing in third place for the first time in six years in the Seiko Super Runner competition.
He was beaten by long distance runner Chou Ting-yin (周庭印), who took the title with a time of 39:26, and marathoner Li Ming-sheng (李銘勝) with a time of 40:53.
In the women’s category, Tsao Chun-yu (曹純玉), who is training for the Summer Universiade in Taipei next year, won the 12.5-km race in a time of 44:59, competing for the first time in the event. [FULL STORY]
