In celebration of Taiwan’s 106th National Day, a float parade, which features 46 elaborately decorated vehicles, ran on the streets of Taipei following the National Day ceremony Tuesday morning. The floats started from the intersection of Yanping South Road and Changsha Street, and continued towards Zhongxiao East Road in the afternoon before arriving at a venue of festivities beside Nangang Exhibition Center.

The parade at the ceremony began with a march of Military Police on heavy motorbikes, which passed through the plaza in front of the Presidential Office at a slow pace, followed by a float carrying Taiwanese winners from prominent international sports games, including the World Games 2017, the Deaflympics 2017 held in the Turkish city of Samsun, and the Taipei 2017 Summer Universiade.    [FULL  STORY]
