TAIPEI–Taiwan defeated China 11-1 in the Little League Baseball (LLB) Asia-Pacific Regional Tournament in Nanjing on Sunday to advance to the final, amid controversy over Taiwan’s alleged violation of the spirit of the game.

Sunday’s game was added to the series after Taiwan was accused of deliberately setting up a loss earlier in the tournament to maneuver China’s elimination.

With its win against China in the additional game Sunday, Taiwan will now face the Philippines in the final on Monday, which was rescheduled from Sunday because of the controversy.     [FULL  STORY]
