Taipei, Sept. 16 (CNA) Taiwan was defeated by South Korea 8:2 in its opening game Wednesday in the 2015 Asian Baseball Championship in Taichung City.

In another game that day, defending champion Japan blanked China 12:0 in a 7-inning called game.

A total of six nations, including Japan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, Pakistan and the host nation, Taiwan, are competing on a round-robin basis in the tournament, which runs through Sept. 20.     [FULL  STORY]
