Taiwan dominates All Japan pool championship

Taipei, Nov. 23 (CNA) Taiwan won both the men and women’s pool titles at the 49th Annual All Japan

Championship 2016 on Wednesday.

Ko Pin-yi (柯秉逸) beat Jeffrey De Luna of the Philippines 11:3 in the final of the tournament, to win the title for the third time at the annual event.

Ko, who will take home a prize of US$17,780, was the men’s champion in 2011 and 2013.

Meanwhile, Chen Ho-yun (陳禾耘) came from behind to defeat Chihiro Kawahara of Japan 9:8, taking the women’s title for the first time and earning the same prize money as Ko.
