Taiwan lightweight boxer advances to quarterfinals at AIBA games

defeated Veronika Villas of Hungary on Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Women’s Junior and Youth World Boxing Championships in New Taipei.

Lin, who is seen as one of Taiwan’s best boxers in the championships, won a unanimous 3-0 decision in a match that she dominated from the opening bell.

Throughout the three-round match, Lin proved to be the aggressor, stalking Villas and pinning her against the ropes. Lin threw several effective punches and by the final round, Villas appeared fatigued. The judges unanimously awarded the match to Lin, who is a student at Taipei Municipal YuCheng High School.     [FULL  STORY]
