Taiwanese media say Japanese pop star Namie Amuro arrived at Taipei’s international airport on Thursday.
She was greeted by about 500 people, including fans and reporters.
A banner written in Japanese expressed fans’ thanks to the singer.
Amuro stopped in front of cheering fans and bowed with a smile before being escorted out of the airport.
