Taipei, Jan. 4 (CNA) The Taiwan-Poland agreement on avoidance of double taxation came into effect on
Jan. 1, the Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday.
Investors will no longer be required to pay personal income tax and corporate tax in both jurisdictions, with Taiwanese manufacturers of electronic parts and laptops expected to benefit most, said the ministry.
Taiwanese invested about US$210 million in Poland last year, said Sung Hsiu-ling (宋秀玲), head of the ministry’s Department of International Fiscal Affairs.
Bilateral trade between Taiwan and Poland reached US$940 million in 2015, according to the ministry. [FULL STORY]
