Taipei, March 3 (CNA) The women’s team of Taiwan came from behind to defeat
Ukraine 3-2 in the second round of the 2016 World Team Table Tennis Championships being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday and advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Taiwan’s Chen Szu-yu (陳思羽) conceded the first match of the three out of five team competitions to her Ukrainian rival Tetyana Bilenko 3-0.
Cheng I-ching (鄭怡靜) mounted later a recovery by beating Margaryta Pesotska 3-1. She leveled matters again by overcoming Bilenko 3-0 before Lin Chia-hui (林嘉慧) lost her match against Ganna Gaponova 3-0.
Chen Szu-yu won the decisive fifth match over Pesotska 3-1. [FULL STORY]
