More and more people from Hong Kong are choosing Taiwan as their new home. That’s what figures from Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interior show. The number of Hong Kong and Macau citizens with permanent residency in Taiwan rose 78% in three years to over 15,000 in 2016.

A Chinese University of Hong Kong survey released in October 2017 showed that about one third of Hong Kong’s people were considering emigrating. Taiwan was their third favorite destination after Australia and Canada.    [FULL  STORY]
