game shutout and received plenty of run support from his teammates as Taiwan beat China 7-0 in Taichung on Friday on the third day of the 2015 Asian Baseball Championship in Taichung.

The win improved Taiwan’s record in the tournament to 2-1, after having lost to South Korea on Wednesday and defeated Indonesia on Thursday.

Six teams — Chinese Taipei, China, Japan, Pakistan, Indonesia, and South Korea — are competing in the tournament, which is being held at the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium from Sept. 16 to 20.

Taiwan took a 2-0 lead in Friday’s win in the second inning on a two-run home run by Chang Yu-cheng (張育成) and then added another run in the third on an RBI single by Yang Tai-chun (楊岱均).     [FULL  STORY]
