Taipei, July 8 (CNA) Taiwan’s team of athletes at the Gwangju World Universiade in South Korea put its first gold medal of the games into the bag for the women’s team recurve bow archery event, defeating home favorite team South Korea in a 5-3 victory.

The competitors — Tan Ya-ting (譚雅婷), Hsiung Mei-chien (熊梅茜) and Lin Shih-chia (林詩嘉) — defeated the Korean team on their home turf.       [FULL  STORY]
