Taipei, July 20 (CNA) Taiwan beat South Korea 3-2 in the finals of the Little League Baseball (LLB) Asia-Pacific Tournament in China on Monday, winning a place in the LLB World Series in the United States.
The Taiwanese team from Tung Yuan Elementary School in Taipei was neck to neck with the South Koreans for most of the game and fell one point behind until the bottom of the sixth inning, when it scored two runs to take the lead.
The Taipei team maintained the lead until the end of the game, securing a berth in the LLB world series, which will be held Aug. 20-30 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. [FULL STORY]
