Taipei, July 5 (CNA) Fifteen-year-old Yang Jui-hsuan (楊睿萱) of Taiwan won a gold medal
at the 2018 Asian Youth Olympic Qualifying Meet in Thailand on Thursday, which qualified her for the Games that will be held later this year.
Yang, who turns 16 on Oct. 24, finished first in the women’s 400-meter hurdles in a time of 59.78 seconds.
With Yang’s win, Taiwan has secured 10 places in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, which are scheduled for Oct. 6-18 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Yang’s coach Lin Chin-fu (林進福) said, however, that there are still some flaws in the athlete’s performance that need to be fixed before then. [SOURCE]
