New Delhi, Oct. 6 (CNA) A Taiwanese man has died of altitude sickness in Solukhumbu, Nepal, after a Mount Everest Base Camp tour, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India said Saturday.

The deceased, in his 40s, has been identified as Chenari Chang. He was found dead in his hotel Thursday evening in Kjumbhu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-4 where he had been staying, according to a Kathmandu Post report.

There was no indication of the altitude at which Chang got sick.

An official with the Taiwan office in India told CNA that local authorities later confirmed after an autopsy that the Taiwanese had died of altitude sickness.    [FULL  STORY]
