Taipei, Sept. 19 (CNA) Taiwanese pool player Ko Pin-yi (柯秉逸) won the World 9-ball Championship in Doha on Friday night, defeating American master of the break shot Shane Van Boening 13-11 in the final of the tournament.
In the race to the final’s 13 racks, both players scored brilliant shots under pressure, and made just a handful of errors.
The 26-year-old Taiwanese grabbed the first rack to go up 1-0 and the pair traded frames thereafter, with each holding serve until the score reached 5-5. [FULL STORY]
