Taipei, April 26 (CNA) Taiwanese tennis player Hsieh Su-wei (謝淑薇), who
ended a long slump in singles with a good showing in early March, won the singles title at a lower tier ITF event in Shenzhen on Sunday.
Hsieh, seeded third in the US$25,000 tournament, defeated unseeded Yang Zhaoxuan (楊釗煊) of China 6-2, 6-2 in Sunday’s final after having whipped top-seeded Duan Yingying 6-1, 6-2 in the semifinals a day earlier.
