Taipei, Nov. 3 (CNA) Taiwanese gymnast Lee Chih-kai (李智凱) seized bronze in the men’s pommel horse at the 2018 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Doha on Friday, becoming the second Taiwanese ever to win a medal at the world championships.

Lee barely qualified for the final by taking the eighth and final spot in qualifiers with a score of 13.700, but he performed much better when it counted.

His 14.966 in the final was good enough for third place and the bronze medal behind gold medalist Xiao Ruoteng of China and silver medalist Max Whitlock of Great Britain, who both scored 15.166 with Xiao having higher technical execution score.    [FULL  STORY]
