the women's singles at the 2019 Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships in Switzerland Friday, losing to Pusarla V. Sindhu of India.

The World No. 2 was defeated 21-12, 21-23, 19-21.

Tai was able to seize the opening game with an easy win, but her Indian rival quickly fought back to tie the second.

Tai ultimately failed to fend off Sindhu in a match that lasted 71 minutes.
