Tigerair offers NT$100 one-way tickets for Dragon Boat Festival

Taipei, June 9 (CNA) Budget carrier Tigerair Taiwan, a joint venture between Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) and Singapore’s Tiger Airways, said Thursday that it has been offering deep discounts to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. Between noon and 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday, consumers are able to log onto Tigerair’s website to book the super-cheap one-way tickets, which will cover all of the Tigerair Taiwan destinations, the carrier said.

The tickets sold during the promotion will be valid between June 9 and Sept. 11, Tigerair said.

Currently, Tigerair flies to a total of 13 destinations in the region, most of which are in Japan, including Tokyo, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Okinawa. Starting from July 14, the carrier will start offering three round-trip flights to Okayama, located in western Honshu, bringing the number of Japanese destinations to nine.

In addition to Japan, Tigerair also provides services to Daegu in South Korea, Zhangjiajie in China, Macau, and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia’s Sabah, as well as Bangkok and Singapore.     [FULL  STORY]
