Singapore, April 12 (CNA) Taiwanese badminton player Tai Tzu-ying (戴資穎) finished in
second place at the OUE Singapore Open concluded Sunday, after falling to Sun Yu (孫瑜) of China in the championship match.
Tai, ranked 6th in the world, got off to a difficult start against Sun, who is ranked 11th.
After reaching a 3-3 tie, Tai went on to lose the first game against Sun 13-21, but managed to turn the tide and win the second game 21-19.
Overcoming a stalemate tie at 5-5 in the final game of the match, Tsai managed to establish a modest 20-17 lead.
