showers to eastern, southern and southeastern Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau said Saturday.

The most affected areas are Hualien, Taitung and Pingtung counties, while other parts of the country are forecast to see cloudy to sunny skies with afternoon thunderstorms, forecasters said.

Daytime highs are expected at 32-35 degrees Celsius, the bureau said, adding that northern Taiwan could even see temperatures above 36 degrees.    [FULL  STORY]
