President Tsai Ing-wen says that Taiwan is duty-bound to promoting sustainable

The 2017 International Symposium on Sustainability Science brought together nearly 500 researchers and experts from about a dozen countries. This year’s symposium is focusing on opportunities in energy transformation and reducing air pollution.
In her speech at the opening, President Tsai said that she wanted to make it clear that “Taiwan is ready to help advance environmental sustainability, not just here in Taiwan but also in the region and the world.” She said that Taiwan’s efforts demonstrate that the country is doing everything it can as a responsible member of the international community.
