Taiwan’s athletes are training hard at the National Sports Training Center in Kaohsiung in preparation for this month’s Asian Games in Jakarta. This year, Taiwan’ s biggest ever team will take part in the games. There are strong medal contenders in several categories, including weightlifting, gymnastics, and track & field.
President Tsai visited the center on Tuesday and saw the athletes training. She acknowledged the athletes’ efforts and said they will enjoy her full support at the games.
Tsai also reminded Sports Administration officials to provide the best support for Taiwan’s athletes during their final preparations. The goal, she said, is to free the competitors from any logistical worries and allow them to focus on their training and perform at their best. [FULL STORY]
