intensifies, with the radius of the storm forecast to cover Taipei and Keelung.

As of 10pm yesterday, Taipei, New Taipei City, Keelung and Taoyuan announced that classes and offices would be closed today.

Central Weather Bureau specialist Wu Wan-hua (伍婉華) said that the nation would be under the influence of the typhoon throughout the day, with extremely heavy rainfall forecast for the northeastern region and mountainous areas in central and northern Taiwan.     [FULL  STORY]
