Taipei, Aug. 15 (CNA) The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar Thursday, gaining NT$0.003 to close at NT$31.405.

Turnover totaled US$854 million during the trading session.

The greenback opened at the day's low of NT$31.410, and moved between NT$31.358 and NT$31.459 before the close.    [SOURCE]
