workers to Taiwan for home nursing and fishing jobs.

A source from the Department of Overseas Labor at the labor ministry said it has selected 47 businesses to provide nurses who will take care of sick and old people at homes and 14 others to provide workers for near-shore fishing.

Taiwanese agencies will look into the list before labor contracts are signed.

The department said Taiwan officially opened its labor market again to Vietnam in early June, lifting a 10-year-old ban due to a high number of workers overstaying their visas.
It said the business candidates are those that have not been caught in any violations.
Taiwan received 5,717 Vietnamese workers in July, or nearly half of the total number of Vietnamese workers going abroad during the month.     [FULL  STORY]
