Kaohsiung, July 4 (CNA) The son of late Taiwanese decathlete legend Yang Chuan-kwang
(楊傳廣) on Wednesday donated his father’s 1960 Olympic silver medal to the National Sports Training Center (NSTC).

Yang was the first Taiwanese athlete to win an Olympic medal, NSTC Chief Executive Officer Li Wen-bin (李文彬) said at a formal donation ceremony.
He said the silver decathlon medal will be placed in the center’s hall of fame.
With just over 40 days to go before the start of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, the medal will serve as great encouragement and motivation to Taiwanese athletes preparing for the games, Li said. [FULL STORY]
