England, yesterday, while fellow Taiwanese Chan Hao-ching failed to join elder sister Chan Yung-jan in the quarter-finals of the grass-court tournament.
Chan Chin-wei and Xu Yi-fan of China upset fourth seeds Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Lisa Raymond of the US 6-2, 6-4 in just 57 minutes on Court 4 at the Nottingham Tennis Centre.
The cross-strait duo saved three of the four break-point chances they faced and converted four of five, winning 56 of the 96 points contested to make surprisingly short work of the fourth seeds at the grass-court tournament. [FULL STORY]
