Chairman of the Golf Association of the Republic of China, Wang Cheng-sung (王政松), said the Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship is the country’s largest and most celebrated amateur golf event. This year the event will welcome amateur golfers from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, China, and Taiwan.

Organized by the Golf Association of the Republic of China, the annual event was suspended last year due to preparations for the Asian Games and election of the association’s chairperson.

Thailand’s Atthaya Thitikul, who is currently ranked 7th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, is the highest ranked participant at this year’s event. Thitikul will defend the title she won at the last event in 2017.    [FULL  STORY]
