TEHRAN, May 04 (MNA) – The Iranian national women’s volleyball team has 
suffered its first loss against Taiwan in the Rebisco Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship in Philippines.
The Iranian national women’s volleyball team put up a tough fight but fell short to Taiwan in three sets, 17-25, 21-25, 17-25, in the Rebisco Asian Under-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship Monday at PhilSports Arena.
Iran’s team will play against Japan on Tuesday.
Iran notched its first and second win against Philippines and Kazakhstan 3-1, and 3-2 respectively.
The event serves as a qualifier for the 2015 FIVB Women’s U23 Volleyball World Championship to be played in Ankara, Turkey on August 12 to August 19.
