Minister departs for Italy for cultural visit

Taipei, May 9 (CNA) Culture Minister Cheng Li-chiun (鄭麗君) departed Tuesday for Italy and the Vatican for cultural exchanges and art activities.

Cheng is scheduled to meet with Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi on Wednesday, who serves in the Roman Curia as president of the Pontifical Council for Culture and who set up a Holy See pavilion at the Venice Biennale of 2013.

Cheng will attend the opening of the Taiwan pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2017 the following day and greet the participating Taiwanese artists.     [FULL  STORY]
