Taipei, July 13 (CNA) Taiwan ranked 10th on the medal table as of Monday at the
Gwangju Universiade out of a total of 64 countries participating in South Korea, with six gold medals, twelve silver, and eighteen bronze.
Taekwondo competitors Chuang Chia-chia (莊佳佳), Huang Kuan-chi (黃冠錡), Huang Yun-wen (黃韻文), and Lin Yi-ching (林宜青) lost to China 7-9 and had to settle for sharing the bronze medal with the Korean women based their score ranking in team kyorugi, the new Taekwondo category at the Universiade.
The Chinese team clinched the gold medal of this event and the Russian obtained the silver medal. [FULL STORY]
