Taipei, July 13 (CNA) Pan Cheng-tsung from Taiwan shot a 5-under 66 on Sunday to
win PGA Tour Canada’s Players Cup for his first professional victory since turning pro last month.
The 23-year-old was 11-under-par on the weekend to score a two-shot win over Sweden’s Robert Karlsson and earned the top prize of 31,500 Canadian dollars, according to a report by Canadian newspaper Winnipeg Sun. He carded a four-day total of 15-under 269.
“This is something I’ve always dreamed of. I didn’t expect it so soon, but I guess it happened and it’s awesome. I’m beyond happiness,” Pan said after producing seven birdies and two bogeys at the par-71 Pine Ridge Golf Course in Winnipeg. [FULL STORY]
