Taipei, Feb. 21 (CNA) Taiwan lost to China Sunday in the finals of the 500 kg

Taiwan team loses to China to settle for a silver in the 500 kg women’s event.

women’s event at the 2016 World Indoor Tug of War Championships in the Netherlands, failing to defend the title it has held since 2012.

The Taiwan team, composed of athletes from Taipei Jingmei Girls High School and National Taiwan Normal University, settled with a silver medal in the tug-of war World Cup, held every two years.

The 2016 championships took place in the dutch city of Volendam Feb. 20-21, with seven national teams participating in the 500 kg women’s competition.     [FULL  STORY]
