Taipei, July 11 (CNA) Taiwan shared baseball gold Saturday with its Japanese rival in the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea after the final was called off due to rain.

The game, which was scheduled to start at 6 p.m. (local time), was postponed until nearly 8:15 p.m. due to the rain, when the organizers finally had to announce that the match was canceled, leading to the two teams’ sharing the gold medal.
